What is WaymoSTL?
A community project to track and document autonomous vehicles (AVs) in the greater St. Louis area.
đ Waymo in STL
Waymo has been testing their self-driving vehicles in St. Louis since 2024. These white Jaguar I-PACE vehicles with distinctive sensor arrays on top are mapping our streets and learning to navigate STL traffic.
đ Memory Crystals
Each sighting becomes a "crystal" - a permanent record with photo, location, and notes. Together we're building a map of AV presence in our city.
đ Where to Spot Them
Waymos have been frequently seen in:
- Clayton and Downtown
- Central West End
- The Delmar Loop
- Forest Park area
- Brentwood / Richmond Heights
đ¤ Why Track AVs?
Autonomous vehicles are coming to our streets whether we like it or not. By documenting where they operate, we create civic memory - a record of how this technology is being deployed in our community.
